An Open Book Eight: A Return to Form.

Green Tea Hour With Jordan

I was going to say that it’s been a long time since I’ve done one of these. But honestly, it’s been a long time since I’ve written anything on this blog at all!

So where to start? Continue reading “An Open Book Eight: A Return to Form.”

Coffee Hour with Jordan

“That doesn’t look like Coffee Jordan…”

“No it’s green tea, I’m trying to be healthy and all that.”

“You filthy liar.”

“I know… I know.”

More on green tea and healthiness later.

I’ve found myself spending an increasingly worrying amount of time looking through WordPress’ themes trying to decide how to spruce up my blog. I wanted to settle on one of these portfolio style blogs with multiple little tiles displaying my work. All of this was for naught because I’ve finally decided that I quite like my theme for the time being. (If anyone feels otherwise about the theme, please tell me.)

An Open Book – Episode Six

20150214_160925Coffee hour with Jordan.

Woah! It’s been a while since I did one of these, I guess that stands as a testament to my exciting lifestyle… Well where to start?

It’s coming up to that wonderful time that all students know too well… Deadline Day. As much as it pains me to say, as D Day approaches I won’t be uploading pieces as frequently, I will return to my former… glory? No not glory, just my former schedule as soon as I’ve squared my work away. Work that includes twelve polished poems and a rather long piece of short fiction, (oxymoron ahoy!) Amongst other things like process analyses and the like. I’ll try to put stuff up during these next few weeks, but I don’t want to rush things.

An Open Book – Episode Five

20150215_190944Coffee hour with Jordan.

So Valentine’s day is in the past, we’ve all exhausted our wallets and/or purses and we look on with grim determination at the next occasion that is going to make us wish we were multimillionaires.

I honestly don’t have anything against holidays like this, I just wish that the prices wouldn’t shoot up like a heroin junky finding three tonnes of his favourite narcotic.

So what’s been going on this week..?

An Open Book – Episode Four

20150206_153940For this week only… Mango juice hour with Jordan.

Yes lowly beings, behold and revel in the gloriousness that is my array of beverages…

It’s certainly not because I’d have to go up and down three flights of stairs if I wanted to use the kettle and the mango juice was on my bedside table, no, not at all!

I don’t make a very good case for a coffee addict really, do I?

So what’s been happening this week..?

An Open Book – Episode Three

20150131_152357 Coffee hour with Jordan.

“Jordan!” You mouth, appalled. “It’s three in the afternoon, yet you are just eating breakfast? ludicrous!”

I apologize, tilting my state of the art cereal bowl and cereal eating utensil towards you, before quaffing the coffee contained in my chipped university brand mug.

Setting it down on the table, I look up at you, eyebrows twitching like a conductor flailing his way through Bach’s Double Concerto and say…

‘What’s happened this week..?’ Continue reading “An Open Book – Episode Three”

An Open Book – Episode Two

20150123_163139Coffee hour with Jordan.

So it’s fair to say that it’s been a hectic week for me. As i sit here writing this I find myself at the end of the railway in Aberystwyth, with only a choice of the missus’ mugs for my coffee. So for this week only, I suppose you can refer to me as Mrs Ed Sheeran. It could be worse, I do actually like Ed Sheeran after all.

So whats been happening this week…
